WE ADVOCATE
• Wearing your clothes till they wear out. Mending, sewing and alteration
• Buying second hand clothes, furniture and books
• Supporting and buying from local designers that use recycled materials, wise packaging and sustainable craft practices
• Learning how to sew, knit, upholster, darn, patch and/or building a network of contacts who can
• Re-thinking the value of ‘stuff’, understanding the truth about your relationship with the objects around you
• Nurturing the transformative nature of sustainable creativity within you
• Opposing a throw-away, disposable culture
• Refusing excess packaging
• Seeing everything around you as stuff you ‘consume’. Images, words, conversations, food, coercive advertising, everything you pick up and throw away. Being mindful of where it came from and where it goes after it serves your purpose
